Logistics Manager – Sapphire Coast Buslines

Using your experience in the transport industry, manage a team to deliver the operational and maintenance functions of Sapphire Coast Buslines.

The purpose of your position is drive a safety culture while managing a team to deliver the operational and maintenance functions of Sapphire Coast Buslines, optimising fleet utilisation and productivity, ensuring schedules are maintained and delivering to customer and stakeholder requirements.
You will be part of a business which makes a difference to the community it operates in and which holds its values of the provision of safe, reliable public transport to the highest standard. You will be instrumental in driving change, growth, innovation and optimisation into the future of this well reputed transport company.

To be successful you will have:
• Management experience in the transport industry
• Rostering, scheduling and timetable experience in the transport and logistics industry
• Extensive experience in public transport operations in private sector organisations
• Tertiary qualifications in business management or an equivalent discipline

The role is based on the beautiful Sapphire Coast in Pambula NSW. Sapphire Coast Buslines is the largest bus transport company in the region with a fleet of 38 buses and over 60 employees across the family group of businesses. This growing business operates under NSW government commercial contracts with strong potential for growth and diversification in the transport market. The successful applicant will work closely with the Directors of the business and advisory board, and lead the operational and maintenance teams.

Sapphire Coast Buslines and the Klemm Family Group of businesses include a growing bus company, fuel station and commercial property. Jamie and Anton Klemm are in their 13th year of ownership and are young, motivated contributors to the bus transport industry and have a keen interest in being a key stakeholder in the future of the private bus industry in NSW. They have strong community partnerships with many stakeholders and believe that public transport must benefit the community and be an optimal service to provide for the future.
