School bus services on the Sapphire Coast
The key component of our business is getting your children safely to and home from school. Every year Sapphire Coast Buslines transports more than 2800 school students to 14 schools in Eden, Bega, Wolumla, Pambula, Pambula Beach, Merimbula and Tathra.
Sapphire Coast Buslines strictly follows Department of Transport safety guidelines, ensuring passenger safety and comfort at all times.
The Transport for NSw School Student Transport Scheme (SSTS) provides eligible school students with free or subsidised travel from home to school.
School travel passes can only be used for approved travel on school days between the student’s home and school/TAFE college between 6.30am and 7pm (6.30am and 9.30pm for TAFE students).
Free school travel passes do not include travel to and from:
before and after school care or child-minding premises
before and after school activities
Vocational Education and Training (VET) at a location away from where the student is enrolled
multi-campus high schools, weekend schools, pre-schools or mini-schools (except for full-time geographically isolated distance education students).

What if your child is not eligible for free travel?
If your child is not eligible for free subsidised travel, alternatives include:
- An SCB Term or Annual Pass
- Paying a bus fare each time you travel
A term or annual pass is an option for students that:
- Live too close to the school to qualify for free travel
- Participate in after-school activities (sport/work)
- Travel to a different destination other than their home address on a regular basis
For more information and to purchase a pass visit our Term Travel Pass section of the website.
