We are inviting all Primary and High school students to create a colorful and striking design that will be produced into a wrap to cover the sides of one of two Cruise Ship Shuttle buses.

Rules and Guidelines

Who Can Enter: The contest is open to Primary and High School Students across the Bega Valley Shire.

What do I have to Design: Entrants will design a bus wrap that covers both sides of the shuttle bus using your local area as inspiration.

The two themes to choose from are:
• Our Rich Aboriginal History
•Sapphire Coast and all its Marine Beauty

Suggestion for a Winning Design:
•A design with large elements will look better than a design with lots of small complicated elements
•Try not to overcrowd your design
•Bright bold colours look best

Rules and Requirements
•The contest will run for the month of September 2019
•Each entrant must complete the entry form
Entrants must use the provided template for their submission
•Newspaper clippings, glitter, copyrighted material is not acceptable
•In appropriate or offensive artwork will not be accepted
•Please note: Consideration must be given to the local Aboriginal community; therefore it is highly recommended that consultation be sought for the Aboriginal designs.

Deadline for Entries:
•All entries must be received by each school by 30th September 2019, final submissions to SCB by 7th October 2019.

How will the Design be Judged?
The competition will be conducted in 2 rounds.
Round 1: All participants group or individual submit their design to the school. The head teacher from each school then selects the two best designs from each category for submission.
Round 2: A judging panel consisting of SCB staff, local dignitaries vote on the favourite design. The two designs that receive the most votes is the winner of the competition.
Judges will evaluate each design from each category based on the following criteria.
•Did the entrant complete the entry from?
•Does the design promote the local area and its culture?
•Is the design eye catching?
•Does the entry meet all the rules and requirement?

•One winner will be chosen from each category
•The winning design from each theme displayed on the buses
•$500 donation to the winning school’s art department
•Individual and class prizes
•Winning school name displayed on the bus
•All the participating students will each receive a certificate of participation
