sapphire coast buslines
Sapphire Coast Buslines has a comprehensive and well-maintained fleet comprising more than 40 buses, providing you with flexible, safe and reliable options for excursions, events or trips. As a regional NSW Bus service, we currently transport over 2500 school students to 14 different schools in the Bega Valley, as well as providing route services between Eden and Bega and on-demand services in the surrounding region. Buses are also provided by Sapphire Coast Buslines for cruise ships, group charters and school trips.
Our charter bus is available for local and long-distance charters, as well as school charters and private functions. It is a seat-belted 57-seater bus with air conditioning, a DVD/CD player, a PA system, window blinds, personal lighting and air vents and an underneath luggage compartment. There are no toilet facilities, which enables more seating capacity.
Our semi-coaches have individual seats with armrests, two TVs, DVD/CD, PA system, air conditioning and baggage space. They are used for distance or local charters, as well as school runs. There are no toilet facilities, which enables more seating capacity.
All of our school buses have seat belts and a three-to-two seating capacity for students under the age of twelve. Our most modern school buses have a 57-seat capacity, air conditioning, and baggage storage. Our older buses have 41-57 seats with a mix of air-conditioning and luggage capacity. For extra student safety, 80% of our fleet's buses feature CCTV cameras.
Used for accessible transportation on our passenger routes, as well as shuttles on cruise days or for local events. Low-floor buses feature lower floors, wider doors, and aisles, and the front half of the bus has no steps. Handrails, accessible stop buttons, and highly visible LED destination signs on the front of the bus are among the other features.
Our low-floor buses include designated areas with folding seats for mobility aids like wheelchairs and ride-on scooters. These areas are also used for prams and strollers. However, wheelchair users and persons with limited mobility always have priority.
Our low-floor buses feature a seating capacity of 41 to 49 seats and a standing capacity of up to 33 people. Transport for NSW has determined that regular route buses in regional areas will not have seatbelts. Customers who have voiced concern about the loss of amenity associated with flip-down seats for customers with trolleys, mobility aids, or prams, as well as back-rests for wheelchair passengers on certain buses, will benefit from this.
For additional passenger comfort and safety, all of our low-floor buses include air conditioning and CCTV cameras.
Sapphire Coast Buslines has two 18-seat electric minibuses for on-demand service. These eco-friendly buses offer quiet, smooth rides with reduced emissions and energy-efficient features. Designed for flexible, on-demand transport, they provide modern amenities, accessibility, and increased convenience for passengers, making them a sustainable option for the region.
The new minibuses are HDrive EV70 vehicles which are low-floor models and are equipped with ramps, making them accessible for people with disabilities or mobility issues.
They feature USB chargers, a luggage rack and large windows allowing passengers a comfortable and enjoyable journey.
