As the school year begins, Sapphire Coast Buslines is excited to welcome students back to our buses. Whether you’re returning after the holidays or starting your first journey with us, we’re committed to ensuring that every school bus ride is safe, comfortable and enjoyable. As we head into the new term, it’s important to remind everyone about a few key points that help make school bus services a positive experience for all – including behaviour on the bus, safety awareness with seat belts, and making sure you have your bus pass ready.
Back to school – A fresh start!
Returning to school is always an exciting time. New books, new friends and new adventures await. At Sapphire Coast Buslines, we understand that getting to school is the first step in that journey, and we’re here to help. With comfortable, reliable buses and friendly drivers, we aim to make school transport as smooth as possible. We’ve been serving the Sapphire Coast community for many years, and we take pride in being a trusted part of your daily routine. As we kick off the new term, we want to remind students and parents alike about a few simple but important rules that will keep everyone safe and ensure a pleasant ride for all.
Behaviour on the bus – respect and responsibility
A big part of a successful school bus journey is the behaviour of the passengers. We encourage all students to be courteous to their fellow travellers and our drivers. By following these simple guidelines, we can all contribute to a safe, enjoyable bus ride for everyone.
- Stay seated – Once you’ve found a seat, please remain seated for the duration of the trip. Walking around while the bus is moving can be dangerous.
- Listen to the driver – Our bus drivers are trained to keep everyone safe, so it’s important to listen to their instructions. They are there to help and ensure the trip goes smoothly.
- Respect fellow passengers – Treat others with kindness and respect. This includes keeping noise levels reasonable and avoiding behaviour that could disturb or distract others.
- Keep the bus clean – Take care of your surroundings. Throw away any rubbish when you leave the bus to keep it clean for the next passengers.
Seat belts – safety first!
At Sapphire Coast Buslines, safety is our top priority. One of the most important safety measures we provide is seat belts on our school buses. Wearing your seat belt while travelling isn’t just a suggestion – it’s a requirement. Here’s why seat belts are so important:
- Protection in an accident – Seat belts are designed to keep you safe by reducing the risk of injury in the event of an accident. Even a sudden stop can cause injury if you’re not wearing a seat belt.
- Staying seated – A seat belt keeps you securely in your seat, which helps prevent falls or injuries caused by the motion of the bus.
Remember, the moment you sit down, buckle up. It’s a simple action that makes a big difference in keeping you safe during your journey.
Don’t forget your bus pass!
Another important part of your school commute is your bus pass. Your bus pass is your ticket to ride, and it helps us keep track of who is travelling on our buses. It’s important to carry it with you every day.
- Easier boarding – Having your bus pass ready means quicker and smoother school bus services, which helps keep everyone on schedule.
- Proof of payment – Your bus pass ensures you’ve paid your fare, so don’t forget to bring it with you. If you’ve lost your pass, be sure to contact us as soon as possible to arrange a replacement.
If you’re new to using the bus or have misplaced your bus pass, our team is here to help. Just get in touch with our office, and we’ll guide you through the process.
Sapphire Coast Buslines – committed to making school transport safe and fun
At Sapphire Coast Buslines, we’re committed to making school transport as safe, efficient and enjoyable as possible. We look forward to seeing you on board and helping you start each school day the right way. By following these simple rules – practising good behaviour, wearing your seat belt and keeping your bus pass handy – we can all ensure that the journey to school is one you look forward to every day.
